Kimono cake decoration

Black sugar balls in two sizes

Getting the design perfectly symmetrical is probably the most difficult task here.

Once you have pricked it out on to the icing it is just a matter of following the lines.

The central flourishes are cut out of black icing and the rest is just sugar balls. There is quite a variation in size in each packet, so I spent ages sorting them out in order to have them graded from big to little.
